  1. I was pretty surprised. I expected the boys to kill the pheasants or chicken out. DM

  2. I was suprised because in the beggining they where talkin about killing the pheasants so i autmaticaly thought the boys were gunna kill them to. So when the boy took off his coat and places it on the pheasant it very well took me by suprise. KB

  3. I didn't anticipate the end of the story because, it just ended to quick for me. I would of liked the story to go more in depth about what the boys did with the pheasants. Did they kill them and eat them? Or did they just warm them up and set them free? DML

  4. I thought the boys' had clubs like the other farmers and that they were going to kill the pheasants, but instead they covered them up with their coats and ran home. Yes, I was suprised by how the story ended. I didn't expect the boys' to cover the pheasants up with their own coats instead of killing them like the other farmers.

  5. No, i did not accurately anticipate the ending to the story. I anticipated that the boys would go out and kill the pheasants for food. I was very surprised by the ending because usually boys enjoy killing animals especially when it isn't a challenge.

  6. I didnt accurately anticipate the ending of the story and it took me by surprise. I was actually expecting the boys to kill the birds somehow while they were creeping up no them, but then they didnt have anything to kill them with. It was a surprise to me that the boys took the pheasants home in their jackets. ERK

  7. I was surprised with the ending because I had figured that the birds were going to get shot, but instead, the boys give their coats to the blinded birds. I thought this way because thats probably not what I would have done, I would have shot the pheasants.

  8. The Story's ending was quite a bit different then what I was expecting. I saw it as being such a cold winter that you had to round up as much food as you can, and also wouldn't give your warmest jacket up for a pheasant.

  10. No I did not think that the end of the story would end like that. I was thinking the the boys where going to end up killing the pheasants. But the ending of this story was a surprise and ended up better than I thought. I didn't think they were going to kill the pheasants beacuase it would be hard to kill animals with your bear hands.

  11. ok i think that the story did not end how i thought it would, i thought that the phesents were going to die. I also thought that the end was kinda dumb the phesents sould have died. Who in there right mind would take off your jacket and put it over a phesent. DJS

  13. I was very surprised by the ending of the story, at the beginning of the story they are all talking about going out to hunt pheasents for food. But in the end i though it was very kind of the boys to help the pheasents. Did they ever make it home safe? AK
